Rotary Camp for Children with Special Needs has a rich and inspiring history that spans over a century. What started as a small project by the Rotary Club of Akron in 1924 has grown into a significant force of change, creating a world where there are only abilities.
In 1924, two Rotarians had a strong desire to organize a summer camp for crippled children. Rotary Camp was born to meet the specific needs of children who had polio and other physical disabilities.
