YOUR CAMPER, WAITLISTS, AND YOU
For some of our more popular programs that fill up faster than others, CYN utilizes a waitlist to fairly fill spots in the event that someone else cancels their registration. Below, we've outlined several frequently asked questions related to our waitlist. If you still have questions, feel free to give our camp office a call at (330) 896-1964 and we will answer them as best as we can!
How does your waitlist work?
Campers are put on the waitlist for their program in the order that they register, and are given spots based on who was put on the waitlist first. We will go down the line if spots open.
If you are on the waitlist, we unfortunately can not guarantee that a spot will open up for your camper. We would highly recommend looking at registering for a different week with open availability!
How will I be notified if a spot has opened up for my camper?
We will call the phone number in our system of the primary account holder to notify you if a spot has become available. You will have a certain amount of time to call us back confirming that you still want the spot before we move your camper off the waitlist. If we do not hear back from you in the specified amount of time, we will have to move on to the next person on the waitlist.
We will always call to notify you if a spot has become available--we will not use an automated or newsletter-like email. The system we use for emailing camper parents can not filter out people on the waitlist. If you receive an email saying "Thanks for Registering" or "Can't wait to see you this summer!" after getting on the waitlist, please disregard. We apologize for this confusion!
I got an email that said "Thanks for Registering"--does that mean my child has a spot?
Unfortunately, no. The system we use for emailing camper parents can not filter out people on the waitlist. If you receive an email saying "Thanks for Registering" or "Can't wait to see you this summer!" after getting on the waitlist, please disregard. We apologize for this confusion!
If a spot opens up, you will only be notified by phone call. See the above question for more info!
Can I sign up for multiple waitlists?
You absolutely can! You can sign up for as many waitlists as you'd like.
Again, if possible, we encourage you to be flexible with your dates if you want to ensure that your child gets the opportunity to come to camp this summer!
What can I do to avoid getting put on the waitlist?
Every summer, we offer Early Bird Registration for current campers. You pay the $75 deposit per week, and we'll lock in a spot for you for next summer. You will get first dibs on registering for next summer as well as lock in the same rates as the previous summer before our rates increase. This is available for both our Day and Overnight Programs. We will contact you in the Fall to get your Early Bird Registration switched over. If we do not hear back from you before we open up registration to the general public, we can not guarantee that programs will not fill up before securing your spot.
Register early!! Registration to the general public typically opens up in January. The earlier you register, the better chance you have of claiming a spot in the program you want.
How to I get removed from the waitlist?
Give us a call and we can easily take your name off of the waitlist.
How can I find out where I am on the waitlist?
Call the camp office at (330) 896-1964 and we can tell you what spot on the waitlist you are.
