Since 2010, Portage DD supported and funded the Portage Trailblazers Day Camp. We are excited to continue this collaboration. This summer, we are offering seven-one week day camp sessions at the beautiful Happy Day School campus in Ravenna. Every day campers will have a blast exploring the natural environment, enjoying crafts, games and other activities, singing camp songs, and developing friendships.
Portage Trailblazers Day Camp is funded by Portage DD and campers must be eligible for services at Portage DD to qualify. Campers outside of Portage County are also allowed to attend. Cost will be $340 per week. Campers age 6-21 are eligible to attend.
Following American Camp Association standards and Akron Rotary Camp guidelines, the staff are exceptionally trained to work with campers in a caring and appropriate manner. The counselor to camper ratio is 2:6.
Please note that their are limited spots available per week. Each camper will be able to register for a maximum of four (4) weeks, in order to give everyone a chance to come to camp this summer. If spots are still open closer to summer camp, we will allow families to sign up for additional weeks.
